The Delhi calendar decides your workload
In Delhi, the shop’s year is shaped by two things: the wedding season from late autumn through winter, and festival days like Karva Chauth when every client wants a new suit or saree blouse on the same date. Markets such as Chandni Chowk, Lajpat Nagar and Shahpur Jat fill up with brides and families, and the orders arrive at your counter in waves.
A paper register cannot tell you whether you can take one more lehenga for 12 December. VogueDesk can.
How Delhi studios source and where VogueDesk fits
| Where the work starts | What it means for you | VogueDesk feature |
|---|---|---|
| Kinari Bazaar, Chandni Chowk: laces, gota and zardozi trims | Trims bought in bulk for many orders | Materials stock with units and movements, vendors and purchase orders |
| Katra Neel and Lajpat Nagar: silks and printed fabric | Fabric linked to a specific bride’s order | Fabric catalog and notes on each garment |
| Outside zardozi and aari units | Pieces leave your studio for days | Contractor jobs, send-out and receive tracking, challans |
| Shahpur Jat-style designer studios | Several labels or a diffusion line | Multi-brand settings under one account |
Bridal orders with many pieces
A Delhi bridal order is rarely one garment. It is a lehenga, blouse, dupatta, maybe a cocktail gown and a mother’s suit. In VogueDesk one order holds all of them, each with its own name and description, and each moves through your own stages: cutting, embroidery, stitching, finishing, ironing.
Measurements stay in named sets, such as “Bride lehenga Nov 2026”, with fields for blouse length, dart point, full skirt length, belt round and more. Our lehenga measurement chart explains which fields to take.
Zardozi and handwork karigars outside the studio
Heavy work in Delhi often goes to outside karigars. VogueDesk treats them as contractors:
- Create the contractor and agree a price per job.
- Send the pieces out and raise a job-work out challan.
- Mark them received when they return, with a job-work in challan.
- Pay their dues and keep the record.
Because contractors count in capacity planning, the delivery estimate knows that the embroidery unit already has your six other blouses.
Hindi WhatsApp updates
Most Delhi clients are happy with Hindi or Hinglish messages. Connect your own WhatsApp Business number, choose the language for each approved template, and VogueDesk sends “order created” with a tracking link, “ready for trial”, “delivered” and “payment received” with the balance. Clients who reply STOP are opted out automatically.
GST across Delhi NCR
Your clients cross state lines all the time. Set up your GSTIN, and VogueDesk raises GST invoices with HSN/SAC codes, CGST plus SGST for Delhi clients and IGST for inter-state bills. Advances move onto the invoice, partial payments show on the list, and GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B reports come out as PDF. Read GST billing for tailors for details.

Frequently asked questions
I am in Delhi but many clients are in Gurugram and Noida. How does GST work?
Gurugram is in Haryana and Noida is in Uttar Pradesh, so supplies there are usually inter-state and carry IGST. Within Delhi you charge CGST and SGST. VogueDesk applies the split based on your settings; your CA should confirm place-of-supply cases.
Can VogueDesk track the zardozi unit I send lehengas to?
Yes. Add the unit as a contractor, record each job with its agreed price, and mark pieces sent and received. Dues and payments are tracked, and job-work challans are raised.
How do I stop over-booking before Karva Chauth and the wedding dates?
Use the capacity calendar and the delivery date estimate. They count your karigars and outside contractors against the work already booked, so you can see a realistic date before accepting.
Does VogueDesk have a showroom or team in Delhi?
No. VogueDesk is an online product with no Delhi office. You sign up and use it in the browser.
Can my clients book trials online?
Yes. Your boutique gets a public booking page where clients choose a fitting, trial, pickup or consultation slot.
