Why appointments matter in a boutique
A bride’s trial, a consultation for a reception gown, a mother collecting three blouses: each needs the right person free at the right time. When bookings live in WhatsApp chats and the owner’s head, two clients turn up at once, or the master is out when the bride arrives. Boutique appointment booking puts every visit on one calendar.
Four appointment types
| Type | Typical use |
|---|---|
| Consultation | First meeting to discuss design, fabric and budget |
| Fitting | Measurements or a fitting during making |
| Trial | Client tries the garment before final finishing |
| Pickup | Collecting finished garments |
Each appointment records the client, date and time, and optionally the staff member handling it. Appointments can be marked completed, cancelled, rescheduled or no-show, so you can see which clients often miss visits.
A booking page clients can use
Your boutique gets a public booking page at /book/<your-boutique>. Share it on WhatsApp, Instagram or Google Business Profile. A client opens it, picks the appointment type and, if she has a favourite, a staff member, then chooses a free slot. No account and no app.
The page shows 30-minute slots from 9 am to 6 pm, Monday to Saturday, and only lists times that are still free.
No double booking
VogueDesk will not let you book the same staff member for two appointments at the same time. That matters most for your senior master, whose calendar fills up first in the wedding season.
Alterations after the trial
Trials often lead to changes: take in the waist, shorten the sleeves, redo the hem. VogueDesk tracks each alteration against the order and garment with:
- the reason and a description
- a deadline
- photos from the trial
- the karigar assigned
- status: requested, in progress or completed
Nothing gets lost between the trial room and the workshop.
How it works in VogueDesk
- Share your booking page link with clients, or book appointments for them from the counter.
- See the day’s fittings, trials and pickups and who is handling each.
- After a trial, log any alterations with photos and a deadline.
- Assign the alteration and follow it to completed.
- Book the pickup once the garment is ready.
Tips for a smoother trial day
- Book the trial as soon as you fix the delivery date, so there is time for alterations afterwards.
- Assign the trial to the master who cut the garment; she knows where to pin.
- Take photos during the trial and attach them to the alteration, so the karigar sees exactly what the client asked for.
- Mark no-shows honestly. Over a season it shows you which clients need a reminder call the day before.
Who it is for
- Bridal boutiques with several trials per order.
- Designer studios that work by consultation.
- Alteration shops with a steady flow of fittings and pickups.
When someone books online, VogueDesk matches her to an existing client by phone or email, or adds her as a new client in the boutique CRM. The garments themselves are tracked in order management. Plans are on the pricing page.
Frequently asked questions
What kinds of appointments can I book?
Fitting, trial, pickup and consultation. Each appointment has a date, time, client and, if you want, the staff member who will handle it.
Can clients book on their own?
Yes. Your boutique gets a public booking page at /book/ followed by your boutique's name. Clients choose the appointment type and a free slot and book without creating an account.
What slots does the booking page show?
The booking page shows 30-minute slots from 9 am to 6 pm, Monday to Saturday, and hides times that are already taken.
Can two clients be booked with the same staff member at the same time?
No. VogueDesk stops overlapping appointments for the same staff member, so your master is not double-booked.
How are alterations after a trial tracked?
You log an alteration against the order and garment with the reason, a deadline, photos and the person assigned. It moves from requested to in progress to completed.
